The REX is the Regrarians® marquee convention with the intention of accelerating the development of regenerative land management. The REX convention is run over 10 intensive days (no day off!) and is based on a real farm with real hosts taking real risks and looking for a real future.

The lead attendee, Regrarians Ltd. Director, Darren J. Doherty, will guide all attendees (including the convention hosts) through an intensive convention program which is a participatory balance of practical theory and hands-on decision making and practice just as happens on real projects & Le Chadoux is a real project !

Based on P.A. Yeomans’ ‘Keyline Scale of Permanence’ (1958), Darren has developed a specific method mixing different efficient design processes (Keyline® Design, Holistic Management®, Carbon Farming & Permaculture Design etc...)

WHY PARTICIPATING ?

Le Chadoux is a multi-crop-livestock farm conducted in "organic farming and T.C.S. Soil Conservation Techniques" actually in a process of new design with a project of agroforestry and training in agroecology.

Participants are not only students but considered as active participants to the design process of Le Chadoux.

The Regrarians® platform is composed of 10 topics explored step by step (one topic a day) for a globally efficient design :

Day 1 : Climate
Day 2 : Geography
Day 3 : Water
Day 4 : Acces
Day 5 : Forestry
Day 6 : Buildings
Day 7 : Fencing
Day 8 : Soils

TRAINER

Darren J. Doherty has extensive experience across the world in project design, development, management & training. A career-long focus on the profitable & regenerative retrofit of broadacre landscapes has seen Darren acclaimed as a pioneer in this important & often overlooked field.

With the advent of the Regrarians Ltd. non-profit in 2013, Darren has shifted his service profile to being that of a volunteer of that organisation, and is a leading attendee at conventions and conferences organised in conjunction with local organisations and individuals all over the globe.

Darren is a 5th generation Bendigo region farmer, developer, author & trainer and has been involved in the design & development of nearly 2000, mostly broadacre projects across 6 continents in close to 50 countries, ranging from 1 million hectare cattle stations in Australia’s Kimberly region to 110,000 acre Estancia’s in Patagonia, EcoVillage developments in Tasmania to public:private R&D agroforestry & education projects in Viet Nam, novel AG Machinery development + family farms across the globe with a range of private, corporate, government & non-profit clients.

A true ‘integrationalist’, Darren has more recently been the originator of the Keyline® Design (2006), Carbon Farming (2006), Carbon Economy (2007), Regenerative Agriculture (along with RegenAG® {2009}) & Regrarians® (2012) and Regrarians® REX, ROC & RAP conventions and conferences across Europe, North & South America and Oceania. This wide experience has created an international reputation of achievement plus and enviable & expansive network that integrates many disciplines. LOCATION

- Le Chadoux -
Châteaubourg - Bretagne -  close to Rennes - 67 ha - rainfall 700 mm - temperate oceanic climate
